Knightia Large Fossil Fish
A fossilised fish of the Knightia species from the Eocene period. It is approx 50 MYO from Wyoming, USA. Knightia is a now extinct species of freshwater herring. A large number of their fossils have been found in the limestone strata of the Green River Formation in Southwestern Wyoming. The stone measures approximately 11x17cm.
Suitable for ages 8 years+ and those with an interest in geology and fossils.
