A fossilised fish of the Knightia species from the Eocene period. It is approx 50 MYO from Wyoming, USA. Knightia is a now extinct species of freshwater herring. A large number of their fossils have been found in the limestone strata of the Green River Formation in Southwestern Wyoming.

 

Size: fossil dimensions vary, ranging from roughly L10cm x W6cm x H0.8cm to L11cm x W8cm x H1cm
