Fossilised Plesiosaur Tooth - Large

Dinosaur or Loch Ness Monster? Neither! Plesiosaur, meaning "near to reptile", is a marine reptile from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods that went extinct  approximately 66 million years ago. The very first Plesiosaurus complete skeleton was discovered in 1823 by Mary Anning, which later went on to inspire some of the very first pictural representations of prehistoric life based on fossil evidence. Once thought to have primarily dwelled in salt water, recent evidence of fresh-water Plesiosaurs has fuelled believers of Loch Ness Monster to declare the existence of "Nessie" plausible.
