The Storm Glass Cloud was popularized by Admiral Robert Fitzroy after his historic voyage with Charles Darwin on the HMS Beagle in 1831.

There are six weather patterns discerned by this nifty invention – the crystals inside shift and reform based on temperature change and are said to predict everything from clear skies to snow!

How the Storm Glass works is still a mystery, but it is believed that electromagnetic changes in weather patterns activate the crystals inside (sealed glass chamber fill with crystals when air pressure decreases).
