In some Hollywood Films Pteranodons are depicted swooping like eagles and grabbing hold of prey with their claws, when in fact, Pteranodons were more like albatross, catching fish with their mouths.

Apatosaurus means ‘deceptive lizard’. They lived during the Jurassic period and were mainly found in the USA. The Apatosaurus could grow as long as 27m and weigh as much as 38 tons. Apatosaurus was one of the largest land animals that ever existed. A human adult standing next to an Apatosaurus would only come up to its knee. This gigantic height and long neck meant that an Apatosaurus (like a Giraffe) could eat the soft top foliage of trees.
