The Unemployed Philosopher's Guild | Little Thinkers | Marie
Marie Skłodowska-Curie was born in Poland and studied in France during a time when having a woman attend university was almost unheard of. Together with her husband Pierre, she received 2 Nobel prizes during her lifetime (the first person to do so), and discovered and named two radioactive elements. Even now, she's recognised as one of the forerunners in the discovery of radiation, and the element Curium is named after her. Let Marie inspire you to achieve great things in your life!
